Daria Kasatkina had a fabulous match playing world #7 Garbine Muguruza in the 2nd round of Brisbane Premier tournament. The Spaniard won 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 in a battle that lasted two minutes shy of three hours.
Dasha was 1-4 in the decider, levelled things up and served for the match but lost the game. Russian also had a matchpoint on her own serve in the tie-break but Muguruza won three straight points and finished everything in her favor.
In spite of the loss Dasha doesn't leave Brisbane as she will play quarterfinals in doubles tomorrow. Alongside Romanian Irina Begu, she will withstand the first seeds - Betthanie Mattek-Sands & Sania Mirza.
