Dasha triumphed at the Premier tournament in Moscow having defeated Ons Jabeur from Tunis: 2-6 7-6(3) 6-4.
The final match had lasted for a bit more than two hours. Dasha was 2-6 1-4 down but managed to pull herself together and turned the match in her favour. It was Dasha's second final in Moscow. Last year she lost the final of the Kremlin Cup to the German Julia Goerges.
"I attended this tournament when I was 10 years old and I was dreaming that one day I would be standing here with the champions cup. I am so happy that this dream has come true", said Dasha after the match.
It is Dasha's second WTA title and both victories took place at the Premier tournaments (the maiden victory happened in Charleston last year). Thanks to this triumph Dasha will debut in the top-10 of the updated WTA ranking. She is also the first candidate to substitute any of the participants of WTA Finals which begins in Singapore tomorrow.
