Dasha defeated the Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck in the fourth round of Wimbledon: 6-7(6) 6-3 6-2.
Van Uytvanck won the first break-point of the first set and was leading up till the eleventh game. Then Dasha did not manage to serve for the set and the winner of the first set was to be decided at the tie-break. The Belgian played a bit better.
Starting from the 2-2 score Dasha won three consecutive games in the second set and managed to preserve her lead till the very end of the set. The decisive was completely controlled by Dasha who lost only two games. The match had lasted for two hours and six minutes.
Dasha’s opponent in her first Wimbledon quarterfinal is the World No. 10 Angelique Kerber. The German defeated Dasha earlier this month in the quarterfinal of Eastbourne. It will be the seventh match between the players and their head-to-head score is equal 3-3.
