Just like in her second round match Dasha had to spend three sets to get a victory. It took her 2 hours and 17 minutes to overcome her friend and doubles partner Daria Gavrilova from Australia: 6-4 4-6 6-0. Dasha managed to serve two aces, did not make any double faults and won eight games on Gavrilova’s serve.
In the quarterfinal she will play against No. 33 in WTA ranking – Irina-Camelia Begu from Romania. It will be the fifth match between the players and the third this year. The H2H is 3-1 in Dasha’s favour and she has won both matches that took place this season – in Brisbane and Doha.
